“Thirsty”

"Thirsty" is an original song written by Brinae Ali. This piece was created as protest song in 2015 as a response to the Flint Water Crisis in her hometown. As an interdisciplinary artist, Brinae uses the sound of her voice and feet to express narratives of social inequity, healing, and hope. The third section of the song is inspired and is a remix of Fela Kuti's "Water No Get Enemy". Videography, background vocals, and music production by Wendel Patrick.

Rocking 2 Da Beat

Rocking 2 Da Beat was conceived by Brinae Ali from her debut EP "Destination Forever: Vol.1". This EP won the Vox Populi (Voice of the People) Award through the Independent Music Awards. It was also a song that Brinae Ali created as a anthem for her hometown, in the city of Flint.
